Perú How can we realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in our territories and in our lives?

In August of 2019, ONAMIAP in Peru organised a meeting of more than 20 indigenous Andean and Amazonian leaders to reflect together on the 2030 Agenda.

Thank you for your continued hard work and commitment to the SDGs ONAMIAP.

During the meeting, these leaders worked together to build proposals that guarantee Indigenous priorities in the implementation, monitoring and review of the SDGs in the country.

The key question regarding the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was a cornerstone for the meeting. Why?

Because the 17 objectives that UN has set, as a route “so that no one is left behind”, are related to the exercise of Indigenous peoples individual and collective rights.
